Washington addressed needs while adding some explosiveness to the roster.
The Washington Football team chose ILB Jamin Davis (Kentucky) and OT Samuel Cosmi (Texas) with their first two picks. Both positions needed to be addressed and Washington certainly did that. Davis will be joining a stout defense that help lead Washington to a division title.
Cosmi will have a chance to compete for a starting position.
Perhaps the pick that got the most attention among fans was third round pick Dyami Brown.
The former Tar Heel wide receiver has 4.4/40 speed. Brown could compliment wide receivers Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel and Adam Humphries.
Speed was also on Washington’s mind when the drafted tight end, John Bates (Boise State). Bates should be able to take pressure off of the do-everything tight end, Logan Thomas.
