Former Georgetown point guard, James Akinjo, is back on the the move. The AP has reported that Akinjo will be heading to the defending champs, Baylor Bears.
Akinjo’s last stop, Arizona, is in the midst of a coaching change as Sean Miller was dismissed after the season. He leaves Tuscon on a good note. Akinjo led the Wildcats in scoring and assists and was named second team all Pac 12.
Baylor is looking at losing their top three scorers. Davion Mitchell and MaCio Teague are on their way to the NBA Draft and, many think Jared Butler will follow those two.
Akinjo will join the team this summer and will have two years of eligibility left.
