It’s that time of year again. Opening Day is upon us.

Major League baseball has the most celebrated opening day despite the fact that there’s 162 games and the results are largely insignificant. But the beginning of the baseball season represent so much more than baseball. Fans see it as a portal to spring and summer.

Last season, I had the Los Angeles Dodgers winning the World Series in six. I got it half right. I had them beating the Oakland A’s in the World Series instead of the Tampa Bay Rays but, hey, I was close enough.
