There are ways to respond to a bad shooting day and then there’s the way George Mason responded.
After going 2-23 from the three-point line against Belmont, the Patriots hit a school record 17 in their 84-70 win over Howard.
Mason would finish the day 17-42 from the three point line.
Jordan Miller let the three-point barrage by going 8-10 from long distance. Miller would finish with a career high 30 points.
“My teammates did a good job of giving me open shots,” Miller said. “The basket felt huge today.”
The Patriots were getting good looks all day because of the ball movement. Assists aren’t always an indicator of ball movement but on this day, Mason’s 22 assists on 27 made shots told the story.
George Mason finished the DC Paradise Jam with a 2-1 record. They will take the court again on Friday against Maryland.
