George Washington opens college basketball at Navy

George Washington’s season opener will kickoff all of college basketball. The Colonials will play Navy at The Yard on November 25th.

“Having our young men participate in a college basketball tradition on national television is a dream way to start a season that has been a long time coming,” said GW Head Coach Jamion Christian. “Our group has come so far since last March in our connectivity with one another, and we’re excited to show the country what GW Basketball is all about at an outstanding event like the Veterans Classic.”

The second season for Christian should include strides from a solid first season. The Colonials will bring back four players who started last season (Jamison Battle, Maceo Jack, Jameer Nelson Jr. and Chase Paar).

Navy and George Washington will face each other for the first time in a decade and play a game on The Yard for the first time since the 1981-82 season.
