Daniel Snyder made a splash when he hired new team president, Jason Wright.
Wright is the first Black American team president in the NFL. But, lets not get this twisted, this isn’t a “publicity stunt” as some misguided NFL fans have suggested.
He had been a partner in the Washington office of McKinsey & Company, a global strategy and management
consulting firm.
Unlike like his predecessor (Bruce Allen), Wright will only be involved in the business side despite his football background (played for Northwestern). Wright will manage the business divisions, including operations, finance, sales, and marketing.
“The transformation of the Washington Football Team is happening across all aspects of the organization – from football to operations to branding to culture – and will make us a truly modern and aspirational franchise,” said Wright. “We want to set new standards for the NFL.”
