NBA Day Seven Picks

Scratched out a 3-3 when Portland put the finishing touches on Houston last night. I’m pointing three-fingers to the dome like Melo.

Today’s picks

Philadelphia 76ers +10.5 vs Washington Wizards

The Wizards could be what the doctor ordered for the Sixers. After dropping their first game, Philadelphia needed a Shake Milton three-pointer to beat the San Antonio Spurs.

Washington’s decimated roster could leave them winless in Florida.

Philadelphia -10.5

Memphis Grizzlies +5.5 vs Utah Jazz

After two losses, Memphis got more bad news when they were informed that Jared Jackson Jr. would be out the rest of the season.

If Utah shoots the ball well, they should win this going away.

Utah -5.5

Denver Nuggets -3.5 vs San Antonio Spurs

How bad does Denver want the second spot? If it isn’t important they won’t rush back three starters out with injuries. Despite that, Denver is coming off an overtime win.

San Antonio is coming off a tough buzzer beater loss to the Sixers.

San Antonio +3.5

Oklahoma City Thunder +5.5 vs Los Angeles Lakers

It’s almost time for the Lakers to shut down their starters, right? The process of managing LeBron James and Anthony Davis’ minutes should be around the corner.

The Thunder could use backup point guard Dennis Schroeder (left bubble for birth of child). OKC is 1-1 in the bubble.

Los Angeles -5.5

Toronto Raptors -7 vs Orlando Magic

Kyle Lowry and the Raptors have been one of the most impressive teams in the bubble. They’ve reminded the league that they are the defending champs.

Both teams are undefeated in the bubble.

Toronto -7

Boston Celtics -8.5 vs Brooklyn Nets

Boston has had a pretty tough schedule in the bubble but it gets easier tonight as they face Brooklyn. The Nets have played better than most expected but this is a winnable game for Boston.

Boston -8.5
