VCU landed Coppin State Transfer, Brendan Medley-Bacon.
The 7-foot-1 center was a Third Team All-MEAC selection as a sophomore in 2019-20. Last season, Medley-Bacon averaged 7.5 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game.
The signing comes as Marcus Santos-Silva entered his name into the Transfer Portal. Santos-Silva will have several Power 5 offers before it’s all said and done.
24/7 Sports has VCU’s recruiting class ranked first in the Atlantic 10. Along with Medley-Bacon, VCU will be welcoming freshmen Adrian “Ace” Baldwin, Josh Banks, Mikeal Brown-Jones, and Jamir Watkins.
