Denver Broncos (+7.5) at Green Bay Packers
This is one of those games where you look at the quarterback position to make your determination. On one side you have Joe Flacco, the other Aaron Rodgers. ‘Nutt said
Pick: Green Bay -7.5
Miami Dolphins (+22.5) at Dallas Cowboys
There are a lot of football reasons that can be used to pick either team. In my case, I’m not using a football reason. There are two huge underdogs. The other are the Jets vs. New England. Both big lines won’t be covered so I went with the game where I think the underdog has the best chance to cover. Shockingly, that would be Miami.
Pick: Miami +22.5
Pittsburgh Steelers (+6.5) at San Francisco 49ers
Pittsburgh is getting a sneak peak with what the Mason Rudolph era could look like when he has a chance to prepare for the opponent. Rudolph wasn’t bad last week.
The Steelers will rally around Rudolph on the road.
Pick: Pittsburgh +6.5
Chicago Bears (-4.5) at Washington
Washington has been awful on Monday nights. It doesn’t matter if they are at home or on the road. Washington has been worse on the field than the traffic getting to the stadium.
With that being said, this is a good spot for the home team. They will face an underwhelming Mitch Trubisky. Look for the Bears to lean on the running game and their defense. That will help Washington keep this close for the cover or the win outright.
