Rory McIlroy Wins Tour Championship
McIlroy became the first golfer to win under the new Fed Ex Cup playoff format. He also won $15M, the biggest payout in Tour history.
Coming into the final round, McIlroy was paired with Brooks Koepka. Earlier in the season, when both were paired in the last round, Koepka trounced McIlroy. On Sunday, McIlroy flipped the script.
McIlroy would shoot a 66 while Koepka would shoot a 72, slipping to fourth.
Inkster Names Captain’s Picks
United States Solheim Cup Captain, Juli Inkster announced her two wildcard picks today. Morgan Pressel and Stacy Lewis received that honor.
Inkster wanted to add a couple of veterans to what is seen as a young team.
Pressel has 10-7-2 in five consecutive Solheim Cups, including 4-1 in singles. Lewis’ record stands at 5-10-1 but she’s 3-1 in Four-Ball matches.
