The World Team will come into Saturday’s Nike Hoop Summit having won four of the last seven games including last year’s 89-76 victory. RJ Barrett (Duke) led the World Team with 20 points, nine rebounds, six assists, and five steals. The US Team shot 39% from the field.
Just like every year, the rosters are full of players who will contribute immediately next season at their selected colleges. Fans of Cole Anthony’s final four (North Carolina, Georgetown, Oregon, and Notre Dame) will be watching in anticipation of Anthony selecting their school.
Once again, Duke has multiple players participating. Both Vernon Carey Jr. and Wendell Moore Jr. will be heading to Durham in the Fall. Arizona is the only other team that will have multiple players from this game on their roster next season. Both, Nico Mannion and Kofi Cockburn, will be participating on the World Team.
