Most remember Greg Paulus as one of the long line of scrappy Duke point guards. After his time was up in Durham, he served as the starting quarterback at Syracuse.
After stops at Ohio State and Navy, Paulus moved on to Louisville last season. After spending a year as an assistant, George Washington has introduced Paulus as Maurice Joseph’s newest assistant coach.
Coach Joseph is looking forward to what the former Dukie will bring to the staff.
“I am thrilled with the addition of Greg Paulus to our staff and the GW Basketball family,” said Joseph. “Greg is a tireless recruiter and talented tactician who will aid in the overall development of our student-athletes, particularly our perimeter players. He was groomed in one of college basketball’s elite winning cultures during his time at Duke, where he had a standout career in the ACC. Additionally, Greg was a three-time ACC All-Academic Team selection and a two-time Academic All-American. His playing and coaching career to this point coincide with our athletic department’s commitment to discipline and excellence on and off the court and we couldn’t be more excited to add he and his wife Megan to the Colonial family.”
