Georgetown will participate in this season Gavitt as they travel to Illinois.
Coach Patrick Ewing acknowledged the significance of Dave Gavitt’s contribution to the game.
“Georgetown is proud to be a part of the Gavitt Tipoff games,” said Head Coach Patrick Ewing. “Mr. Gavitt was a great man who helped make the BIG EAST what it is today.”
