USA Basketball has announced their 2017 AmeriCup roster.
FIBA AmeriCup 2017, considered the FIBA Americas zone championship, will feature 12 nations from North America, Central America, the Caribbean and South America. The United States last participated in 2007 when it was still name FIBA Americas Championship.
US Roster
Billy Baron (Eskişehir Basket – BSL, Canisius)
Baron has signed to play for Eskişehir Basket for the upcoming 2017-2018 season. In 2016-2017, he averaged 13.0 ppg for UCAM Murcia (Spain) and 10.6 ppg for Liga ACB.
Alec Brown (Windy City Bulls, Green Bay)
Brown played in all 50 games, starting 47, for the Windy City Bulls. He averaged 23.3 minutes, 10.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocked shots. He shot 81% from the free throw line and 47.6% from the field.
Larry Drew II (Sioux Falls Skyforce, UCLA)
In 2016-17, Drew II playe with BC Neptūnas (Lithuania) where he averaged 9.2 points and 5.3 assists per game. That same season he played three games with Sioux Falls Skyforce and averaged 5.7 points and 13 assists per game.
Reggie Hearn (Reno Bighorns, Northwestern)
Hearn is a four year veteran of the G League. Last season he averaged 13.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and shot 44.2% from the three point line.
Darrun Hilliard (Detroit Pistons, Villanova)
Hilliard was traded to the Houston Rockets and subsequently waived. He averaged 3.3 points, 0.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists.
Jonathan Holmes (Canton Charge, Texas)
Holmes played with FC Barcelona Lassa (Spain) prior to joining the Canton Charge. In Spain, he averaged 7.7 points and 3.7 rebounds a game. After joining the Charge, he put up 12.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 0.9 assists game
Kendall Marshall (Reno Bighorns, North Carolina)
Marshall played in 21 games for the Reno Bighorns in 2016-17, averaged 15.0 points, 9.1 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals. The former Tar Heel has four seasons of NBA experience.
Xavier Munford (Greensboro Swarm, Rhode Island)
Munford played for the Swarm and Spain’s FC Barcelona Lassa. While with the Swarm he averaged 18.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
With FC Barcelona Lassa, he averaged 1.5 points a game.
Marshall Plumlee (Los Angeles Clippers, Duke)
Plumlee recently signed with the Los Angeles Clippers. Last season for the New York Knicks, he averaged 8.1 minutes, 1.9 points, and 2.4 rebounds per game.
Jameel Warney (Texas Legends, Stony Brook)
Warney averaged 17.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 blocked shots and 1.0 steals per game with the Legends.
C.J. Williams (Texas Legends, North Carolina State)
Last season, Williams shot 80% from the free throw line while hitting 38.2% of his three pointers. He averaged 12.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals a game.
Reggie Williams (Oklahoma City Blue, VMI)
Williams has NBA experience with five different teams. His NBA averages are 7.8 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists per game.
With the Blue, he averaged 18.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
