The Iowa Hawkeyes won the last two games on their European trip to complete a 4-0 record.
The story of the tournament was incoming freshman Luke Garza.
In the last two games of the tournament, Garza went for a combined 49 points and 25 rebounds. He was named MVP of the Hawkeyes 106-64 win over the Milan All-Stars.
His play certainly made an impression on Coach Fran McCaffrey.
“Luka Garza never takes a possession off. He’s always in the right place. He’s fun to watch. He is one of the best players I have ever seen at finishing through contact.”
Iowa finished the trip with a 88-49 win over Vicenza All-Stars.
