Georgetown Football Teams Up With Be The Match

A beautiful day on the Hilltop was made even more special as the Georgetown football team partnered with Be The Match for a Bone Marrow Registry Drive.

Georgetown Defensive Coordinator Kevin Doherty was instrumental in organizing the event.

“I reached to Andy Talley, who is the former head coach at Villanova, so he’s been a big part of this I think almost 15 years in creating awareness and getting people to register. To think we can effect somebody’s life by getting someone registered that might be that match”

The response from the Georgetown community was outstanding. The Drive registered 263 potential matches in 5 hours.
