Maryland and Georgetown are separated by the Capital Beltway but they came together yesterday as the University announced the hiring of Kevin Broadus. Broadus was an assistant coach at Georgetown for 9 years. During his 9 years on the Hilltop, the Hoyas went to the NCAA tournament 7 times.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kevin to the Maryland Basketball family,” Turgeon said. “Kevin has a strong reputation as a tireless recruiter and is passionate about developing players on and off the court. He has extensive knowledge and experience as a coach and I am confident his ties to this region will be extremely valuable to our program.”
Maryland also announced that Cliff Warren will be the new director of player development.
