VCU to Name Mike Rhoades as their New Coach

Who says you can’t go home again?

VCU is set to name Mike Rhoades as their 12th head coach in program history. Rhoades was an assistant coach and associate head coach at VCU from 2009-2014. He will replace Will Wade, who on Monday announced that he would become the LSU head coach.

Rhoades returns to VCU after serving as Rice’s head coach for three years. He led the Owls to a 23 win season. It was the first 20+ win season at Rice since 2003-2004.
