Georgetown’s season opener against Dartmouth will start a journey to answer questions that have been asked all offseason.
How much will the freshmen play? With Amino Mohammed play up to the hype? What should fans expect from a team that lost so much experience and production?
The Hoyas rode an incredible run to the NCAA tournament last season but they haven’t won 20+ games since 2014-2015.
Dartmouth has already played a game. They suffered a 73-57 loss to Boston College.
Things to Watch:
- Dartmouth from 3: Dartmouth has knocked down at least 200 3-pointers in each of its last three seasons,
connecting on 201 in 2019-20 a year after hitting a school-record 264. They were 6-29 against the Eagles. They will probably attempt more than 30 on Saturday. - Turnovers: During the Patrick Ewing Era, Georgetown has struggled with turning the ball over. With such a young team, the turnover bug could rear its ugly head.
- Be Classy: Georgetown’s freshmen class has been highlighted all offseason. Now starts the process of them proving whether they’re worth all of the ink.
