Sports Betting: AFC East Win Totals

The AFC East could have more quarterback conversations than any other division.

With the news that New England has released Cam Newton, can Mac Jones lead the New England Patriots? The New Jets have their “next” quarterback (again)? Miami has been rumored as a team that has interest in DeShaun Watson? That leaves the Buffalo Bills as the team with the most solid quarterback situation.

Buffalo Bills – 10.5

The Bills are coming off a 13-win season and they have stability at quarterback with Josh Allen. Buffalo has a true home field advantage so taking a look at their road schedule because key to being a double-digit win team.

The two non-division road games that jump out are trips to Kansas City (Oct 10th) and Tampa Bay (Dec 12th). A couple of tricky trips could be Tennessee (Oct 18th) and New Orleans (Nov 25th).

With all that being said, Buffalo should be able to dominate their division which is a real key. There’s enough other wins built in to give me confidence that the Bills could get 11 wins this season. Take the over.

New England Patriots – 9.5

Do you believe in Mac Jones? You might not have to. New England’s defense should be much improved from last season.

As a whole, the roster is better with players returning from Covid along with New England spending money in free agency. Jones couldn’t have been put in a better position. Patriots will hit the over.

Miami Dolphins – 9

The NFL is a quarterback league so the big question is, do you believe in Tua Tagovailoa? I can tell you who doesn’t? THIS GUY!!!

The Dolphins don’t have enough to win 10 games if they get close to average quarterback play. The Dolphins are one of many teams can end up with a push (exactly nine wins) because of their schedule BUT on paper, they don’t jump out as a double-digit win team.

New York Jets – 6

New coach. New quarterback. Questionable talent level. I’m really shocked that the number is at 6. The screams the under.
