ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones have hired Jason Payne as their next head coach. He will be in only black head coach of a professional hockey team in Northern America.
Payne previously served as an assistant coach and was promoted when Matt Thomas was hired by the Providence Bruins (AHL).
