Notre Dame-Florida State Wrap Up

Notre Dame walked away with a 42-26 win over Florida State.

Understandably, the Fightimg Irish was rusty after missing the Wake Forest game because of Covid-19 concerns.

Notre Dame’s offense rolled up 554 yards rushing. Sophomore Kyren Williams led the team with 185 yards more than making up for his fumble on the first drive. Notre Dame’s “backup”, Chris Tyree ran for 104 yards. His first 100-game for the freshman from Chester,VA.

Ian Book has gotten the label of “game manager” this season but all he does is make plays. He was 16-25 for 202 yards and 2 touchdown passes. Book developed a nice rhythm with Javon McKinley (5 rec, 107 yards).

The defense was put behind the 8-ball in the first quarter when the Fighting Irish turned the ball over twice. The turnovers led to 10 Florida State points.

Up next for Notre Dame is Louisville
