Georgetown Athletics announced that Patrick Ewing has partnered with the McLendon Foundation to start the McLendon Minority Leadership Initiative.
Over 35 collegiate coaches will be involved in the initiative. The goal is to “provide minorities a jump-start to their careers through practical experiences, opportunities to build their network, and instilling the values of John McLendon: Integrity, Education, Leadership and Mentorship.”
“This initiative continues Georgetown’s unwavering efforts to ensure that every candidate, no matter their background, has the opportunity to excel in their field. I’m proud to be part of this initiative and hope it will encourage others to take action for equality,” said Ewing.
