Maryland Basketball: Looking to clinch first big ten title

With a win today, the Terps would claim their first Big Ten Championship and first conference title since winning
the ACC regular season in 2009-10.

The Terps took a major step towards claiming the title when they pulled off the Miracle in Minnesota. Maryland erased a 17 point lead including closing the game on a 10-1 run in their 74-73 win at Minnesota. Darryl Morsell’s 3-pointer with one second left was the game clincher.

It won’t come easy against a Michigan State team looking for its third win in a row.

In the first meeting in East Lansing, Maryland outscored Michigan State 14-0 in the final three minutes to stun the Spartans, 67-60.

Terps Notes:

    • Undefeated at home (15-0)
    • Number 10 in the NET rankings
    • 13-5 record against Quad 1&2 opponents
