Georgetown and Be The Match Team Up for Bone Marrow Registry Drive

Once again, Georgetown University and Be the Match will team up to bring awareness to the need to identify bone marrow donors.

Georgetown Defensive Coordinator, Kevin Doherty, along with others, has helped lead the effort on campus.

“We want to build on the success we had last year so please consider registering and help us create awareness about blood cancers. Registering is very simple – a swab of the cheek is all it takes – and if you can commit 15 minutes on Wednesday, April 25th to register, together we have the unique opportunity to truly save a life.”

Last year, the “Get In the Game, Save a Life” campaign registered 263 potential donors to the national bone marrow registry.

The event will take place on April 25th on the campus of Georgetown at Nolan Hall, The Healy Family Center and Red Square
